how can I suspend sending emails to followers temporaraly

  Hi All

  I want to make some changes to our simple blog site http://www.thehamptonwi.com. One change is to move all the members cake recipes to become posts which are then in categories. I don’t want an email to go to each follower every time I re-publish one of the existing recipes as a new post. Future new ones yes but just not today while I do maintenance.

  My plan was to change to private mode and then back to public when I have finished but will it then send all the changes out retrospectively. I don’t want to annoy followers with a whole stream of unnecessary email traffic.

  This is what you should do! It will not send out changes retrospectively.
