How can I switch my domain registration to WordPress from somewhere else?

    I see the instructions to map my WordPress site to my domain, but that’s not exactly what I’m asking.

    Currently my domain is registered with FatCow, but my account is set to expire in the next few weeks and I don’t want to renew. Instead, I’d like to register that same domain with WordPress so that I can manage everything in the same place.

    If I try to do this, my only options are to add domain mapping (which is only useful until my domain expires in a few weeks) or to purchase the domain, which I can’t do because WordPress realizes it’s already owned.

    Hopefully I’ve expressed this clearly. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

    Hi!

    I’m afraid we don’t accept incoming domain transfers, so you’ll need to keep your domain at your current domain registrar or transfer your domain to a new registrar.
