How can I switch the WordPress Stats bar graph to a line graph?

How can I switch WordPress Stats from bar graphs to the line graphs used by the old, freestanding version of WordPress Stats? Line graphs are a lot easier for me to read at a glance.

I use JetPack on my privately hosted blogs, plus I have a WordPress.com blog, so I need instructions for changing the configuration on both.

Please also post the instructions on the WordPress Stats instruction page for others to use.

At the moment it’s not possible to change the graphs stats. Please review this guide to learn more about Stats.

Please fix this. If there’s only one option, it should be a line graph.

The whole point of stats is to track TRENDS. Is traffic going up, or is it going down? With a line graph, trends are immediately obvious. With a bar graph, it’s a lot harder to tell what’s going on, especially if the changes are small.

I’m going to revert back to WordPress Stats on the sites I host until this gets fixed.

Thank you for your feedback. It is not likely we will change the bar graphs at this point, but we do appreciate your feedback and we’ll keep it in mind when we work on the next stats updates.
