How can I tell how many people are subscribed to my feed?
-
I have no idea how many are subscribed to my feed…
And what do I need to do to make it easier to subscribe? Thanks!
-
Is that a WordPress.com blog? It doesn’t look like it. You may need to be over at WordPress.org.

I believe you can use 3rd party services, such as feedburner (www.feedburner.com)
** Also I believe your best bet for information regarding stats is (http://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats) -
Hey thats a real nifty website jlosh… Thanks for that dude….. It seems like it’s the exact same feed but will it keep track of people who subscribe to your regular feed in comparison to that designed feedburner feed?
Or are they all the same thing?
Thanks again dude..

Feedburner keeps track of everyone who subscribes through Feedburner. It’ll give you better feed stats than WP.com IF everyone who subscribes to your feed uses your Feedburner feed rather than the regular WP.com one.

Hmmmmmmm *thinks of evil plan*….. this would be great at tracking the content theives :D…. !!! Thanks raincoaster…. I will get right on it to make sure all of the RSS feed links are via feedburner (well as much as I possibly can anyway…)
Cheers! :)

Make sure you don’t use a theme with a feed button built in, then. People will pick that instead and you won’t get the stats.
-
Ah darn thanks raincoaster! Just might consider changing the theme if that be the case :)
-
actually, I just had a look and was not able to see any “rss feed” button anywhere? I am using the freshy theme… Am I blind or?
(Ah I can see a comments RSS but that’s not too bad right?)
-
Not all themes have the button built in. I don’t think Freshy does, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Feedburner doesn’t show subscribers who use Google reader (odd, since Google owns FB) and I haven’t seen my AOL subscribers in a couple months, not even my own to monitor the feed.
It does offer some good feed options, though, and subscriptions by email.
