How can i transfer my blog in ver 2.3 to current ver

  First, i realy sorry for my language, i dont write very well in english.

  Hi, i have small problem with transfering my old blog in version 2.3. I have this blog since one year and now server where this blog was, have some problems. I create account on wordpress.com yesterday and today i try transfer posts, comments, pages and other. Finnaly, nothing happend in new blog. I use “export” in wordpress engine.
  I try connect with ftp but this is denied.
  I dont known what i must doing to transfer my blog to this new engine.
