How can I transfer my subscribers and stats to a self-hosted blog?

I moved my blog to a self-hosted blog and lost all my subscribers and stats. Can I transfer it to my new blog?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Howdy,

I’ve moved your subscribers over for you. Regarding your stats, the post IDs between the two blogs don’t quite line up, which means while I can merge your stats for you, figures for individual posts won’t line up.

For day-to-day stats, it’s not a big deal, but if you’re looking at longterm viewership of individual posts, it won’t be 100% accurate.

Would you still like me to merge your stats?

    Cheers!

Why this happened? I just export and import the content!
I think I still want it!
Would you move the stats too?
    Is it too hard?

    Thanks a lot!

  • There’s a number of reasons that could cause it—if there were posts or media already in the new site before the transfer, if the import was attempted multiple times, etc. The system tries to keep the post IDs the same, but if it runs into conflicts with existing content, it can’t do it. :-(

I’ve merged your stats. You can see the combined stats via the Jetpack menu of your site or https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=61721172&unit=1

    Cheers!
