How can I transfer the plan ownership to another user?

    Dear happy engineers,

I have the following problem. I purchased our society’s premium plan through my own site. Seems that I am now the main owner of the premium plan of our society. However, I no longer work there so I would like to transfer plan ownership to this society. Could you please help me on this. This is urgent as the subcribe of the premium plan is expiring soon.

For further details, you can contact me via email (email visible only to moderators and staff) or via my blog (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Kati –

I can help you with this.

Please let me know which site the upgrade is currently on. Also, confirm which user account you want to transfer the upgrade on to.

Dear Liz, Thank you for your reply. The upgrade is currently on the site salsadeleste.wordpress.com and with the premium upgrade it has its own domain salsadeleste.com and we want to keep it that way. If the premium expires, the site will loose its domain and return to salsadeleste.wordpress.com.

I would like that the the salsadeleste.com will get the whole plan ownership for its site. I no longer want to be the main plan owner. Actually, that was the least thing a wanted. I appreciate your help and hope that you can fix the problem.

I went through the same thing with an organization I am involved in. The difference was that I created an account for the organization and then linked it to my account. That way I can continue to help out as long as I am involved with the organization, however should I leave, or the Board want other people involved, the account is already set-up.

Dear Edward, referring to your message, we have a bit different situation. Our society’s site was already created when I was asked to purchase the premium plan for it. I was the treasurer in one society and that is why I was asked to do that. But, I did not know that if I already have my personal blog page in wordpress.com it will automatically become the owner of the subscribed plan. Now this society cannot even upgrade the premium plan without my participation. It should not be like this. What if the owner of the plan no longer exists, if I just delete my account? Then what happens to this society’s site …

I’ve removed the premium upgrade from your account and added it to the account that owns salsadeleste.wordpress.com.

When you go to wordpress.com/me/purchases/ you’ll see that there are no upgrades listed.

    Best wishes :)
