How can I transfer to wordpress?
-
Well, since I didn’t got any help at my first post, I’m posting it again;
I’ve been having a site at Webs.com with a premium package and found out that I would like to move to WordPress. Since I can’t get my money back, the support tells me that I can transfer it to WordPress by a way that I don’t understand at all!
Anyone that could help me out?
The blog I need help with is http://kimfotodotnet.wordpress.com.

What did they tell you to do?
Here is the support document about importing a blog, though webs.com is not listed:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/Don’t See a Specific Importer for Your Blog’s Service?
If we do not have an importing tool for your particular platform, you will need to try and convert it into one of the accepted formats so that you can use the proper importer. This means you first convert your blog to one of the services mentioned above (such as Blogger), and then import your blog from Blogger to WordPress.com.

Well, they said that I had to contact WordPress, and from there, I was going to give them an EEP (If I don’t remember right), which I don’t know what is. But since then, WordPress is more expensiver than Webs.com, and I then also gotta pay more, though..

Are you aware that there are different kinds of WordPress? WordPress.com provides free hosting:
details here:
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you want to move your site here, and you agree to the Terms of Service, then it may be possible.
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/
Do you want to proceed, if it is possible? Sorry I don’t know for sure. Without a link to the site you want to move, and as a volunteer, I have no idea whether it would work or not. What is the site you are asking about, starting with http://etc…

Hi Kim,
I’ll mark this topic for staff to look at.
Please confirm that you have read the link I gave you earlier:
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I see that you have a “sign in / register” link to view your site. That is not an option on WordPress.com sites.
Subscribe to this thread so you’ll be notified when there is a staff responsel

Your domain has been purchased elsewhere. Because we don’t take incoming domain transfers, it’s only possible to map the domain to your WordPress.com blog using the domain mapping upgrade. You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.
Let us know if you need any help.
