How can I undo domain mapping
-
I have a blog on barbaradoetponderzoek.wordpress.com I purchased domain mapping to a barbaradevilee.nl owned by me and registered @ transip. I want to undo that so I can host my domain myself (using the cms wordpress). How can do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Barbara,
You can contact your domain’s registrar and update the nameservers to your new host. I have disabled the auto-renewal for the domain mapping of: barbaradevilee.nl since you will not need it anymore.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Hi Graceji,
I think that it has not been fixed yet, when I go to barbaradoetonderzoek.wordpress.com I still automatically get forwarded to barbaradevilee.nl
And I cannot get a connection to barbaradevilee.nl/wp-admin although I did a ine click WP install at my Registrar’s site
could you in stead of disabling the auto-renewal turn of domainmapping immediately? is that possible?

Hi Barbara,
Changes to a domain’s DNS can take a while to catch up. Not only do those changes take a while (up to 72 hours) to propagate throughout the internet, the previous settings can also get stuck in your browser.
So I would recommend clearing your browser’s cache by following these directions:
And making sure that you wait the full amount of time for propagation to occur for your domain to point towards your new hosting. I have verified that you changes have gone through, so it should just be a matter of time!
