How can I undo domain mapping to wordpress.com?

I host with godaddy and a few months ago I mapped the domain to wordpress.com. Now I am transferring to a different host, however, my domain is still mapped to wordpress. I was wondering how to undo the domain mapping to wordpress so I can have a clean transfer from godaddy to my new host.
If I hit “cancel” on the My Upgrades page, will that take care of it?

Yes, if you cancel via the “my upgrades” page, that will take care of it on the WordPress.com end of things. But you will also need to adjust the nameservers at your domain registrar to point to your new webhost.
