How can I upload e-reader files without plugins or FTP ability?
-
I am looking to upload e-reader files to my site. I do not host through wordpress.org, nor do I own the site myself having purchased it. Thus I know I don’t have FTP permissions. I also know that wordpress.com does not allow plugins, however, I just want to upload some more files to my site, and I have seen other sites that have them available, having been hosted by people who are in the same boat as I. How can I have these files available to my viewers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Danielcrunkel.wordpress.com. It’s a Site I’m using to promote my writing. I’d like to make my samples available in more than just PDF format.

What are the actual file types? For security reasons, we cannot host many times of files including flash. You can usually upload them somewhere like Fileden and just hotlink them to your blog, though. In my latest post I have a podcast in a format I can’t technically host, but it’s hotlinked from BlogtalkRadio and works fine.

You can also use the free Box widget in any widget-enabled area to host download files. See here:

I see. So if I make a link to perhaps a Dropbox account, they would be accessible to others?

Raincoaster, would you say how you hotlinked into your website from BlogTalkRadio?
