How can I upload images?

I am having difficulty uploading images into my post. I follow the instructions, but I only get a darkened screen. I use Google Chrome.

Could you try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies?

I did what you said and tried from a different computer. It still does not work.
Here is what goes on, in more detail: I put my cursor on the place I want the picture, then click on “media” above the draft of the post (there used to be a choice of a picture or a video in that spot, but now it says “media”). My screen then goes dark. It is still transparent — I can still see the post — but the screen is darker. It stays that way until I click on the cursor again. The screen lights up. I cannot get to the stage where I upload pictures.
I actually preferred the older way of uploading pictures, and I don’t recall any e-mail telling us that old way would end. If I’m doing something wrong, can you please send me instructions on how to upload pictures and embed videos from youtube with the new format?

Just to confirm, when you click on the “Add Media” button, a dialog box doesn’t pop up on your screen?
Could you make sure that you have Javascript enabled on your browser?
Additionally, what version of Google Chrome are you using? And your operating system?

Yes, that was the problem, but I just went back to the site and I was able to do the task I wanted to do. Everything worked. You’re a real computer whiz, evarlese — even if you did nothing. You’re that good.
