How, exactly, are you attempting to upload those photos? And what error are you seeing, specifically? when does it fail?

@Raincoaster
When uploading a url, I get a red cross and can’t proceed. A html code (provided by the free source) remains coded and doesn’t provide the image. Copying on the my pictures folder doesn’t work either – I get the ‘not allowed for security reasons’.
Basically the WordPress software does not appear to distinguish free source from copyright sources -

That is not an image URL.
Under Share, click Grab the HTML. That gives you this code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/undpkenya/4252863989/" title="Suzanne Owiyo performing at the Free the Hungry Billion Concert at the Bomas of Kenya by UNDP KENYA, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2697/4252863989_9a393baae3.jpg" width="332" height="500" alt="Suzanne Owiyo performing at the Free the Hungry Billion Concert at the Bomas of Kenya"></a>and that will work.

Thanks a lot for your help. But it does not work. I had tried this before, as mentioned earlier – pasting this code on a post. It remains just that – a code and not an image.
Perhaps you can try it on your own post and let me know if you get lucky

You put it in the Text editor. You always put raw code in the Text editor instead of the Visual editor, otherwise it just shows up as code, as you have seen.
Go to Edit the post and on the right of the Write Post box you’ll see the tabs Visual and Text. Select Text and paste the code in there. Then hit Update.

All photos are copyrighted, but while that one says All Rights Reserved, the owner has for some reason allowed embedding.
-
I said that because this person is using ‘MyFree Copyright’ which means everything he/she adds is stored electronically as being hers/his copyright. there is no mention of the photo’s he/she uses as being copyright to someone else. Every post is signed BT at the end. There is also a copyright in the sidebar. If no-one clicks on the photos they will assume that this person owns the images.
-
If that’s how “MyFree Copyright” works, it’s completely unenforceable and wouldn’t last a second in a court.
