How can I use my own photo as a header for my blog?

This is a problem so many people are having….I can’t get my photo to fit into my header (mistylook, 760 x 189). I have spent hours trying to do it and I’m now at the point where I am considering giving up….!

When I resize it with software it distorts the image. When I add it as it is, I have to crop the image so much that it looks terrible. Please help…!!.

    Thank you

  • The image will be matched to either the required height or width, whichever is the closest match, so you’ll never really get the full image if it doesn’t match the required dimensions.

Its not necessarily a bug or a problem, but the image does need to the required dimensions.

For your theme, I recommend creating a white rectangle that is 760 x 190, then scale down and place your intended image in the center.

This will basically give you a full header with an undistorted image that appears to be just the image itself.
