How can I use the Facebook Like Box?

The “Facebook Like Box” widget used to put something useful in my sidebar, but sometime recently it started just saying “Like us on Facebook” instead of (as I recall) showing pictures of our fans.
I replaced it in the sidebar with the Facebook badge code that you talk about in
http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-integration/facebook-badge/
That “works”, but is limited as well as being pretty ugly.
I moved the “Facebook like box” widget to the footer. You can see it there — just the “Like us on Facebook” header with nothing else.
I tried playing with “visibility”, but that didn’t seem to help.
What’s up?

Can you let me know if the entire Facebook Like box is showing for you now? If you are still only seeing the “Like us on Facebook” link, please let me know and I will see if I can track down what’s causing that issue for you.

Hmm… Didn’t think to look at whether this might be a browser problem.
Firefox 21.0 — yes, I see the full like box.
But
Chrome 27.0.1453.116 m — all I see is the “Like Us on Facebook!” header.I’m using Windows XP
Any ideas?

I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem in Chrome, so this might be something specific to your browser settings. Can you please try the following troubleshooting steps in Chrome:
* Try disabling any browser extensions or add-ons. Here is a link to the instructions in Chrome:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=187443* Try disabling any firewall or security software you may have recently installed on your computer, including ad-blockers.
* Try clearing out your browser’s cache and cookies.
Can you let me know if any of those steps fixes the problem for you?

Thanks! That worked.
I re-enabled most of the extensions without finding one that caused the problem — so maybe it was just the cache?
