How can non-WordPress users can leave comments on my blog?

How do I give a group of non-Wordpress users permission to post to my blog? Do they first need to register with WordPress and obtain their own accounts? And how can I direct them to a specific topic in my blog so that they do not have to undergo chores of searching or scrolling to find the relevant location in my blog? Similarly, how can I direct other users to a different topic?

Unless you set your site to require it, users will not need a WordPress.com account to comment on your site. You can choose to allow them to comment anonymously or you can require that they enter their name and email. You can find these settings under Settings–> Discussion.
To point to a specific topic, go to your site’s front page, click on the title of a post, and then copy the URL of the page you are sent to. For example, this is the URL of your test post:
