They don’t need to Google. They type or copy and paste the URL http://nomadstrekjourneys.wordpress.com/ into their uppper browser bar, click and arrive on your blog.

One big problem with your site, while it is 11 months old, you only have three long Posts on it, so search engines don’t think much of your blog for having content worth indexing.
timethief helps in the forum and has many tips on her blog on how to make search engines pay attention to your blog http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/
For starters, blog more

Start publishing new post frequently, rather than rarely and sporadically to gain search engine attention. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

@TT – the fact are what they are – I started a history blog some time back and decided to check the time line and other things from you, raincoaster and others. Set up some search strings to see how links for the site were showing up in Google, did the Google Webmaster Tools to see the progress of indexing.
I was very careful to properly identify the pictures (picture heavy site)
Interesting, did not take Google long to recognize the new site, but longer to start indexing it. Indexing was slow but steady for a while – not a straight line. THEN Google decided to literally re-index the universe and the blog disappeared COMPLETELY from Google for a few days. Talk about shock! Then it came back into the index
Then there was some search engine traffic to the blog – traffic was better if I did some new Posts, not so good when I let the site go stale (as it is now – got a bit lazy – and a picture heavy history site is a lot of work to do correctly – sometimes sorting 15 good pictures out of 200 and then sizing, color balancing, cropping and watermarking then finish with the ID for each photo – takes a bunch of work)
This is the site, bit stale now: http://thecanneryhack.wordpress.com/
Yes it was an interesting learning experience, need to get back at the blog one of these days – 20 years of personal Alaska history if I can find the other box of slides and negatives.
To the OP – search engines and your friends like fresh content – try it – you will be surprised how well it works
