How can one of my readers fix a recent inability to comment on my posts?

One of my readers — talktodiana.wordpress.com — just told me (on her blog) that she has not been able to leave comments on my posts lately, despite trying many times. We are both very bummed out about this! Can you help?

Does she give any additional information about what exactly happens when she tries to comment? Is she seeing an error message of any sort?

I do not think she is seeing an error message. This is what she wrote, in a reply to a comment from me on her blog, today: ” I have been unable to leave comments on your blog – they just don’t take! ” She last commented on my blog on July 29, and she tried to comment several times today.
Can you contact her directly? Shall I tell her to contact you? Thanks for your swift response.

I think having her contact us, or post here, would be more helpful. It is hard to troubleshoot without more information on what is happening.

She figured it out. She asked me to check my Spam Folder. Apparently I accidentally typed one of her comments as Spam, and all subsequent comments went into that folder. I’ve Unspammed them. Now my question is this: will future comments from her go into the Spam Folder? Is there a way I can undo that mistake? Thanks so much, Ann

The spam catcher should “learn” that they are not spam in the same fashion that it learned they were spam. It may take a few times through however.
