How can one save notes on a post without publishing?

  When writing posts, I’d like to be able to save notes regarding what I’ve written, without publishing them. For example, I might want to include links to reference material or write down source information for future reference in case a question comes up later. Often I save drafts for a while before publishing. I might have some ideas of hash tags to include with Twitter when I publish it, but I want to research it more. I don’t want to put such comments in the note itself in case I forget to remove it before publishing.

  Unless there is a way I don’t know about, I suggest adding a comments field that does not get published.

  Yes, once a post has been published, all updates will be visible, unless you un-publish the post by making it a draft again.

  A comment field just for authors is a great idea, and we’ll definitely consider it. Thanks!
