how can people see my postings

  Hi,
  I’ve started blogging using free wordpress account but then converted to my own site (domain from godaddy and hosting from bluehost). In bluehost, I’m using the wordpress platform and continue posting. This may be a silly question, but I’m not sure if my postings are visible in wordpress to other users. In other words, if a wordpress user logs into wordpress and searches for a certain tag/ category which I wrote about, will they be able to look up my posting? If not, is there anything I can do to do that?

  Hi there. Self-hosted blogs don’t show up in tag listings in the Reader, no. If you have the Jetpack plugin installed WordPress.com users will be able to follow your blog in the Reader same as they can do for .com sites, but your site won’t appear in tag searches and isn’t eligible to appear in Freshly Pressed. There is no way to change that apart from moving back to WordPress.com hosting.

  Thank you for your helpful response! So basically, I’m assuming I have to work on my SEO and hope that my posting shows up on google? :(

  Your site at http://startsimplifying.com/ is not hosted by WordPress.COM. As kokkieh pointed out above the post will not appear on the WordPress.COM tags pages because the site is not a part of the WordPress>COM blogging community. We don’t provide support for it here. WordPress.ORG support is at http://wordpress.org/support/

  Correct. Consider linking your site to your Gravatar profile (it’s currently linking to your old site), then at least people will be able to find your site when you comment on theirs. You can change this on the Account Settings page: https://wordpress.com/me/account
