How can there be more posters than posts?

  I can’t find an example of this issue in the English forum, but here are a few examples in the Portuguese forum.

  http://br.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posts-1?replies=1
  – The sidebar shows 2 posters, but there is only 1 post.
  
  http://br.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cobranca-indevida-de-299-do-wpchrgorg?replies=2
  – The sidebar shows 3 posters, but there are only 2 posts.

  Is it because the other posts were flagged as spam and removed? How can there be more posters than posts?

  I actually do see two posts on your first link. As for the second, I don’t see any obvious spam or deleted posts, but my sense is it’s just a minor hiccup in the software.

  Do you notice the problem consistently or just now and then?

  I do notice the problem consistently. I’m not sure how many topics have this issue, but of the three random links I clicked, all of them have it.
