how can upload an image to my theme without it tiling?
-
Hi,
I am new to WordPress and I would like to use the image I have uploaded to my blog site, but no matter how I try I cant get the darn thing to stay centered and not tile. While we are at it, I would like for it to fill the screen for ANY visitor with any size monitor.I’ve been searching the forums and online but I cant seem to nail this simple little thing down. So your help is MUCH appreciated.
Thank you very much.

There’s no way for the image to stretch based on the browser size, it will have to remain a static size.
As for it not tiling, select “No Repeat.”

Thank you for the fast reply.
When I try the settings you suggest. As I did previously, before I posted this help message I still see the image being tiled albeit less due to the size of the image 2560 x1658So even when I set it to no tile, centered and no scroll why do I (at least) see it tiled.
I am assuming my visitors will see it tiled as well.
I suppose there is no way to make adjust to the size of the visitors browser correct so that it is adjustable?
Sorry, like I said I’m new and I am trying to make my space into something before I even begin posting.Thank you once again.

OK, i was able to get it the way I want it. Thank you very much for helping me out with this issue. Let me ask something else if I could.
How can I change font color and and perhaps the color of some of the columns? is that even possible?
AND if that’s depend upon the theme, then is there some kind of guide as to which them allows this kind of modification or is it trial and error of the many, many themes available.
(or is there some kind of plus service for this perhaps)Thanks once again.

You can change font colors and such by modifying your CSS with a Custom Design upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
