How can we re register an administrator who has a different email address..

    SuperbNess is an administrator on bamboobanga420.. Recenty we tried to change her email address . She was accidentally deleted from the User list.. An email was sent to her new email address re inviting her to the blog.. It wouldn’t let her log in as SuperbNess because it says it already exists.. Of course it does because it is her. Now she can post things but through bamboobanga420 while clicking her name from the drop down list.. She can’t post comments or anything. Please help.. how can we add her back as an administrator while registering her new email address.. I sent an invite to her as if she was in the community and I have sent an email as is she was a new user .. neither helped.

    Do you know if SuperbNess changed her email address in her Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings page?

    If not, and you invited her new email address to contribute to the blog, she won’t show up as a contributor to the blog. Usernames are connected to email addresses, which means that if she did not update the email address associated with SuperbNess, our system won’t recognize her.

    To resolve this, SuperbNess will need to update the email address associated with her account. Once she confirms this change, she should appear in your Users page.

    If you’d like for her to be an Administrator of the blog, you can edit her User Role via your Dashboard -> Users page:

    i handle all of that .. and i can’t do anything because she doesn’t even appear anymore on the user drop down list.. basically . She was removed by accident from the user list.. then i tried to place her back .. but it said that SuperbNess was not in the system.. so i invited her to the new address.. she no longer has access to the old.. I was trying to update the email address BUT WORDPRESS WON’T LET ME ..and it’s telling me that she is not a registered user.. yet her posts and twitter feed exist.. WE CAN’T UPDATE THE ADDRESS BECAUSE IT SAYS SHE IS NOT REGISTERED..WHEN SHE TRIES TO REREGISTER WITH THE NEW ADDRESS .. IT SAYS SUPERBNESS IS ALREADY REGISTERED..HELP!!!!

    we are stuck.. she can’t change the email address because it says she is nowhere in the system YET when she tried to register as superbness it says it’s already taken.. she is registered and not registered at the same time .. ..AND NOW.. she is not even on the drop down list.. how can we start over.. when she responded to the re- invite.. there was no option to join as a username.. We can’t blog anymore until this is resolved..HELP.. lol..

  • Can you try just adding her email address in the Users section of the Dashboard?

    If not, there be some username confusion, and we’ll need her to contact us via [email protected] to sort this out.
