How can we remove Link of Yatra.com on many blogs created on WordPress.com

For example https://discoverhotelsindia.wordpress.com is blog on WP and there are many such blogs that we don’t want Yatra.com website links and have a list with us. It would be great if we can get help here. Thanks

I think the only way is for you to contact the owners of these blogs and ask them to remove it.

Hi Elizazh, this is challenging as we have tried to find details about the owner or webmaster but it seems these are fly by night blogs created on WordPress and now hampering our backlink profiling.
Is there any way we can officially write to WordPress.org or someway to report these?

I really don’t think so, I’m sorry. However, if these blogs aren’t being updated, sooner or later they will fall off Google results.

Nope, they are not getting updated since last two years and really got us penalty. And Google pointed us out too. There has to be some way WordPress has some policy that arrest this problem as some spammers or anyone can abuse this system to malign authority domains.

I understand your problem. Even though I’m not aware of anything else that could be done in this case I’ll follow this thread and hopefully someone has a solution for that.

Reports are tied to the specific blog they are for, so if you wish to report multiple blogs, please submit a separate report for each site.

Hi, We have submitted each site separately. Service time must be receiving too many requests on daily basis, how much time one can expect for the revert?

Curiously, did you have someone create these sites for you? It’s funny that they only link there. If you did have, you tried contacting that company?

@Supernovia, we haven’t engage officially (typical agency in this case) to build this for us. While auditing back linking profiling we found out that either some old staff (a curious one) or someone affiliates trying to achieve some black hat out of this as we have seen some of the blogs I have picked are as old as 2009 and old affiliate network links were found.
Having said that, we are trying everything we can to contact like in this case https://morimiti.wordpress.com/ where Yatra link was wrongly mention and we have contacted admin and they did remove it.
But the one we have reported are just bland abuse of this powerful medium to gain undue advantage or harm us,
I hope this helps and WordPress team would support us in this endeavour of cleaning the internet.
