How can we see invitation request ?

Hello,
I recently modified the confidentiality parameters of my site so it will not appear as public. I am told that if people want to have access to my site they have to request it and then I have to approve and validate the invitation. Two of my friends told me that they sent the invitation request but nothing is notified on my site, nor by e-mail.
Both my friends have a WordPress account.
Could you indicate me how I may validate their request ?

What is the URL of the site you’re inviting folks to, and what is the username of the account that did not receive the invitations?

The site URL is indicated at the end of the first post of this thread. I should be the one receiving the invitation requests. I checked the e-mail address associated to my WordPress account and it is the right one.

I think there’s some confusion going on here.
If the site is private, it’s not possible for viewers to request to view the site – which is why you’re not seeing invitation requests.
Instead, what needs to happen is that you need to invite viewers to view your site as per these instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site

Let me try to explain in more details what’s happening.
My site is set in private. When my friend tries to have access to it, here is the message he receives (I took a screenshot, sorry it is in French):

Well the only one I really know is my friend with whom I did the test. His username on WordPress is Cyb021.

Hm, I don’t see any record of that user requesting access, but yes the email would be sent to the email address on your account: https://wordpress.com/me/account
If it’s not in your email’s inbox, would you please check your spam folder?

No, there aren’t. My inbox is on Outlook. I checked all possible inboxes in which the requests could have been sent automatically but I found nothing.

Have you been able to receive any emails from WordPress.com?
We have had issues with Hotmail/Outlook nuking our emails on site before, they seem to occasionally think we’re some sort of super-spam.

Thanks for that. I did some testing by creating a private site and requesting an invitation as a test user. My site owner account did not receive an invitation request either. I’ve filed a bug report and will let you know when we have more information.
