How cancel a change of theme

    Hello !

    I created my website 2 years ago with the theme “Sela” and I spent hours and hours to have my perfect website.

    Today, I wanted to create another website for a friend and I did a terrible mistake : instead ofwork on his site, I change my theme and it totally breaks all the details I had done two years ago. How can I cancel this action and go back to previous version of my website ?

    Please help me !

    You should be able to restore the Sela theme to your site. If you don’t see it under “My Sites” “Design” “Themes” then add /wp-admin/themes.php?search=SELA to your site address.

    Thnak you for your answer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work… It brings me to an empty page. Maybe the Sela Theme isn’t available anymore ?

    Actually I don’t only want to bring back Sela Theme but also to get back all the personnalisation I did (i changed the fonts, the title, the color… it took me a lot of time 2 years ago and i’ve not enough time today to spend on this). Do you know a way to go back to a previous version my site ? It must be saved somewhere ?

    Hi there,

    Sela has been retired recently, but you can still reactivate it on a site that had it active before from here:

    https://oceanecabart.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?search=sela

    Reactivating the theme should also restore most customizations you had active on it, but anything that isn’t restored automatically you’ll have to set up again. There’s no way to revert a theme change as if it never happened.

    Thank you so much !!! Most of the pages have come back to their former stage ! I’m so happy ! I just need to rebuild the home page (my text and photo have been replace by standard) but i’m sure i can manage.

    PS : My home page was in the draft section, i just needed to publicate the page again. My website has fully recover from my mistake. I’m so happy !
