How come I can't upload images if it says I've used up my media storage?

  Why does it say I’ve used up my media storage? Can I delete images from my media library to add more?

  If you are getting a message that your storage is full, then you have uploaded more than the 3GB of storage that WordPress.com accounts are given.

  You can, but it is not a good idea. Any image that you delete from your image library will them disappear from whatever posts you have used it in. A better plan is to purchase a space upgrade:
