How come it is impossible to delete a WordPress account?
-
Almost a year ago it was decided that every student in my school should create an account on several different Internet sites, among them WordPress. After finishing school recently, I tried to delete these accounts – I never used any of them, I do not like being registered at websites I do not use and I only agreed to create the accounts under the impression that I would be able to delete them as soon as I was done with school – and had no difficulty doing so, with one exception: WordPress. After consulting an expert I was disappointed to discover that WordPress accounts in fact cannot be deleted, meaning I will live the rest of my life with an account I have absolutely no use for.
I sincerely hope that, in spite of this, it would be possible for some higher instance to delete my account. Otherwise, if I ever feel like starting a blog, I will do it on another website that does not hold on to unwilling users.

Hey there,
It’s unfortunate that you created, then deleted your sites without understanding how things work with WordPress.com accounts. Unfortunately, your URLs can not be deleted.http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts
Another thing to know: Once you delete your blog, you will not be able to get it back.
Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was previously owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Best wishes

Though you cannot delete an account you can change all the data so that it cannot be associated with you in any way. This has exactly the same result as deletion – WordPress will have nothing linked to you.
