How come no one can see my messages on a wordpress blog until i sign in?

Hi this may seem like a stupid question to ask but i was wondering why i cant see messages that i posted in a wordpress blog until i sign in (no one else can see em too). Is it because everyone else has to sign in to see posts from signed in people? I guess i could just post without signing in but i was wondering why my previous posts cant be seen unless i sign in.

You can check the moderation settings in Dashboard > Options > Discussion; if an administrator must always approve the comment is checked that might be what’s blocking comments. To see if your posts are password protected you’ll need to edit the post in Dashboard > Manage and see if private is checked in Post Status.
Do you have a link to your blog as well and one of the posts you’re talking about? It might help if we can see what you mean.

It is NOT a blogspot. It’s a blog. Blogspot is a blog company that’s owned by Google.
Do you mean you posted that post, or you commented on it? They’re different. I see this content on the post and cannot identify who posted it, as the theme doesn’t say “posted by”:
Ok guys (Michel and Ashna……anyone else out there???? LOL!!!) wishing you all a great break. I have been reading your responses and will put up the answers to the first few sets of questions over the weekend. We have still been very busy here, finishing off stuff and preparing for next year. We have celebrated some great HSC results you will no doubt hear about (I’m a bit excited !!!!). I hope you have worked hard this week so you can spend some time resting and recovering and then preparing for a hard year ahead……

And you can never see comments on a WP.com blog on the main page of the blog. You have to click on the link to read the comments or the name of the post first.

Hey im not that new with computers, i made 2 posts under the name “Wilk” which i did when i was signed in. I can only see em once i sign in. Once I sign out they’re not there anymore and the message count doesn’t display em either.
I guess this problem isnt that big, i started posting without signing in so no biggy but i do want to know the reason why. Thanks again everyone

You can’t post to a blog without signing in. We are obviously talking about different things here.

What’s the URL of the blog, and what are the titles/URL’s of the posts you say cannot be seen?
The Merry Christmas post you mention above I can see whether I’m logged in or logged out.

Are you talking about commenting on posts on the blog? If so, perhaps the owner of the blog has it set up so that comments have to be approved by an administrator before they will appear and they have not yet been approved. A post would be the “merry christmas” thing. Comments are what are made in the “comments” box below the post.

Oh yea right i mean my comments in the posts. Sry a little new with the blog lingo. Yea like i said i made 2 posts in the post “Merry Christmas” which i cant see unless i sign in. I can only see 3 comments which aren’t mine and the comment’s count thing duznt show my 2 comments either. Thanks for all the help but i guess this problem duznt deserve the attention you people are giving it. Again, thanks for helping a newbie.

Not a problem. Contact the blog owner and tell them to approve your comments which are in moderation right now.
