How come the "Follow" button does not appear on the screen?

I just posted my first blog and notified my friends so they could “Follow” it. Several of them tell me they do not have the “Follow” button on their screen, and they’ve checked on several search engines and several different computers. What is the problem with the “Follow” button not appearing?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you ‘invite’ followers as described on this page?

If you just told your friends about your new blog, the ones who are logged into WordPress will have a follow button in the gray admin bar at the top of their screen, and the ones who are not logged in will not.

Aha! Thank you very much jeffwelston! Might you also know the answer to this: when importing a photo from my own files into the blog, how do I keep the file name from appearing? I did use my own tagline, but now both show up on the page!
