How di I hide comments until I see them

  I am new to this blogging. I wanted to know that when somebody puts a comment on my blog under comments and then sends it to me can anybody else, that happens to go on my blog, see that comment? I have read the info on comments and it looks like if I don’t approve the comment when I see it in my dashboard then nobdy sees it but me. 1. Is that correct?
  2. Then on the other hand if I approve it then it will show up on my blog for every one to see?

  1. It depends on how you have the comment settings under settings > discussion. If you want to see comments before they post to the blog, then turn comment moderation on: http://support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/ .

  2. Again it depends on you settings.
