How do contributors make blog posts?

How do my contributors find a way to add a post to my blog? I have listed their names as contributors and they have created an ID and password. What’s next? Do they have to have a copy of WordPress?

Hi there! Once they have been added to your site, and they have accepted their invitations, they can log in with their new users names/passwords at WordPress.com.
They will see one of two things in the right side of the menu bar: a pencil with a plus sign, or a tab called, “New Post.” When they click that button, they’ll be able to add a new post to your site.
If they’re new at WordPress.com, you can send them this link to talk them through posting:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/Also, depending on how you wish to edit or approve their posts, you may wish to change them to authors. Here are the differences between the user roles:
