how do edit the footer?

    Sometimes we just need to stop


    Under the new picture/graphic I’ve inserted just now, a blurb called ‘Author’ appears. No where can I find to modify/update this text. It doesn’t seem to appear in the place where I’m editing the page, and nowhere can I find ‘Footer’, except for ‘Footer credit’, which isn’t what I want. Help, please!

    I accidentally figured out that what I’m actually trying to do is edit the bio under Profile and eventually managed to do this.

    Nevertheless, I still cannot find anything about footers. Since there’s an option called Header, why isn’t there one called Footer? So much easier than having to search through every single menu and sub-menu (which is how I accidentally found the Profile thing). Sigh.

    Hi there, the theme you’re using Twenty-Sixteen https://wordpress.com/theme/twentysixteen/ has widgets in the footer and you can add them to the footer area, like you did with your sidebar, when you are in the Customizer. https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/

    Once you add widgets to the footer of your site, you can opt to disable “infinite scroll” on the blog and archives pages and you’ll see a “older posts” button instead. Here’s more on that https://wordpress.com/support/infinite-scroll/
