How Do I?

    I’m a new administrator on my organization’s WordPress website. Nothing in the instruction videos looks like what I see when I visit our dashboard.

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    For what site is this?

    The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com, and your account with us is only a few hours old, with no sites.

    We’re not the same thing as the open source WordPress software – we use that software here on WordPress.com, but the software is made over on WordPress.org. If you’re using that version of WordPress, you need to be looking at the documentation over on that end – our documentation and tutorial videos for sites hosted on WordPress.com won’t apply to your site in that case, as we use a modified version of WordPress here that doesn’t work exactly the same.

    If you can confirm the site URL, and tell me a bit more about what you’re trying to do, I can try to point you to the right documentation, or the right place to get help with this :)
