how do I access my company blog with no log in details
-
One of my staff created a blog for our company on WordPress some time ago, but I have no idea who did it. As such I don’t know what email address to give to get a new password. The blog is redwrappings.wordpress.com, it mentions our company site, redwrappings.com.au, so could one of your staff contact me to help us with access? My name is Graham Cameron, and you can contact us on info at redwrappings.com.au. Thank you for your assistance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The blog I need help with is redwrappings.wordpress.com, but there was no way to change that in the previous screen. Also it would be good to be able to contact WordPress without having to create a new log in, blog etc, which will no longer be required once our issue is resolved.

Howdy!
Please fill out the Lost Password form here:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and enter the email address that you mentioned. :)
You’ll be sent instructions on changing the account password and you should gain back access to your company blog afterwards.
If you’re having trouble reseting your password, please try our Assisted Account Recovery form:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
You can read more about the recovery process here:
Please let me know if you run into further problems. Good luck!

Hi Druesome, I’m getting nowhere I’m afraid. The password recovery page says “Unable to reset password – I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information”. The Assisted Account Recovery form didnt work either. It said “You should be able to recover your account simply by filling out the lost password form with the email address you’ve provided.” Some o the information I provided in the recovery form is entered below, minus email addresses for obvious reasons. Happy to mention these in a private area or via email, but not in a public forum. I’m sure you understand. The information I provided is
“Hi,
I am sorry I do not possess a transaction ID, an activation URL or key, and I am not really clear what factor authentication is.I am not sure what to provide you to help you determine that this is the blog one of our staff set up apparently in 2011. I will provide what I think will help, please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
The name Red Wrappings is part of the blog name. On the blog page it mentions the URL redwrappings.com.au The email I gave earlier and have entered in the recovery form has this URL in it. The links on this page go back to our site, redwrappings.com.au.
If you look up the whois record for this domain name, you will find it is registered to our parent company Essentia Group. You will also find my name on the Whois record.
I am not sure who would have set this blog up in the past, but it could have been Jeissy, Vanessa or Rachel. However there are numerous others who could have set this blog up.
If you need any further information please contact me.

Hi Graham!
I’ve just used the Lost Password form and entered the email address “info at redwrappings.com.au”. I did not get the errors you mentioned. Did you receive the email with the confirmation link? If you did, please click on the link and change your password. Let me know if this continues to be a problem. Thanks!

Hi Druesome, thank you, all is working well now. Next issue, I created rwint simply to contact wordpress – can it be deleted?
-
Thats bizarre, one minute I’m in rwint, the next redwrappings. Anyway same question applies, can a blog be deleted?

Hi there,
I created rwint simply to contact wordpress – can it be deleted?
Unfortunately, user accounts can’t be deleted on WordPress.com.

Anyway same question applies, can a blog be deleted?
Yes, blogs can be deleted. Please see our support page on how that’s done:
Let me know if you had other questions. Thanks!
