How do I activate the featured post slider element on my website?

I can’t figure out how to activate the featured post slider element on my Oxegen theme website. Pointers?

Hi Shari,
The Oxygen Theme’s featured post slider can be activated by using the Showcase Page template. To do that:
- Create or edit a page that you would like the featured posts to be displayed in
- Select the Showcase Page template from the Page Attributes module (while in page edit mode, it is located on the right side of the Dashboard, underneath the Publish module)
- Select up to 6 Sticky Posts

One last step missing from my previous post:
- Set featured image for each post you’d like included in the Featured Post Slider

Hmmm, still have trouble. I experimented by selecting three blog posts to be sticky and created a new front page as a static front page to put the post slider on but it doesn’t look at all like it does in the demo. And when I click the arrows to the left or right to move through them nothing happens. Every post has a feature image but I’m not sure where to find “featured post slider.”

Hi Shari,
So sorry that you are still having trouble with the featured post slider. In looking at your front page, I noticed that the post entitled “Facing Discomfort at the Ellensburg Rodeo” is the only featured post. It looks like you’ve also set the page attribute of the static front page to use the Showcase Page template.
Since the slider does not appear below the featured image of the post that I referenced above, I am wondering if you can double check that the other 2 sticky posts’ featured images are set?
