How Do I Ad Adsnese Code In the Sidebar
-
Having problems figuring out how to ad adsense code in the sidebar and also in the main body…..anybody have any suggestions…….thanks…..

You don’t – blogger initiated adsense is not allowed on wordpress.com blogs
-
Wow, at least 3 different queries about AdSense in the front page list of the forum. Maybe a good idea for anyone wondering about it to read those three threads before starting another one, to get the same answer.

Then maybe the few regular helpers in the forums should have a stock answer for the same questions, containing a sarcastically worded “this is a pasted response answer to a commonly asked question that you should have found before starting a new thread” line. It’d save time actually writing anything. After all if they’re not going to go to any effort to find a common issue, why should you spend any time actually responding with anything original, since you’ve already answered it many many times before.
Copy and paste can be handy.

@dirkgently – Is this along the lines you are thinking of?
WordPress.com blogs are non-commercial free blogs. They are different from wordpress.org blogs and different rules apply to them. In a nutshell the answer to your question is “no” we cannot advertise on our blogs here.
There is an exception but unless you intend to attempt to qualify and pay for a VIP blog along with other very notable bloggers like Robert Scoble, etc. I’m afraid that is your answer.
If you wish you can confirm this advertising restriction and the only exceptions to it by reading the FAQs blog search box response and by reading this thread from the official wordpress.com blog
However do not despair if you do not qualify for a VIP blog for if you wish to have a commercial blog your desire can be accommodated here.
That’s where you can either download a free blog template that you self host or you can hire a web host to do this for you.
There’s also a sticky post “please read me first before posting” at the head of the forum you may wish to consult as it clarifies the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org.

Personally I’d be more sarcastic, but yeah lol….I’d also start with a “why didn’t you look before asking an already answered question?” type of sentence as a starting line.
-
It’s very hard not to be sarcastic at times (I often fail) but it does give a bad impression of the forums, so we should probably try to resist the temptation.
This doesn’t stop me wishing we could post images of steak dinners, though.
-
Wank, when you rename your website and add in ‘steak dinner’ to the title, you can claim all the dinners that you want. Until then, they’re all mine. :)
No steak dinner for you!
Dirk, it’s in the FAQ sticky already. Has been since day 1 when it was created.
