  How do I add a badge to my site.

  Most folks add badges into text widgets here on WordPress.com. But some folks may provide badges that contain code not allowed here.

  What badge would you like to add?

  The badge I would like to add is one that I downloaded from a personal website article, posted today, I think advocating equity. If I could I would uploaded into this message.

  Where is the code for that badge please?

  If you post the code between [code] tags here we can examine it and tell you right away if your will be able to use it or not.

  Generally speaking a badge or button or icon is simply an image that you link to. You can capture an image and upload it, link to it, and display it in a text widget.

  You can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/

  If you just downloaded an image file, I’d recommend adding the image file to your media library. Then use an Image Widget:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/

  If you got some embed code from that site, please paste it in your reply here so we can look at it. :)

  Are you using the Customizer?

  Some folks have reported that images won’t upload correctly to the image or gallery widget there.

  Try adding the image first here:

  https://nadaradenkovic.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php

  Then, add the Image Widget here:

  https://nadaradenkovic.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

  And select the image from your media library instead of re-uploading.

  I do not see the actual code for the badge “I downloaded from a personal website article” posted here in this support thread.
  Which “personal website article” are you referring to?
  What is the URL for where you found it please?

  @Alex, Timethief and Galois……Thank you guys. I managed to add the widget and some others as well. You did a great job, but it seems to me that the only problem was the slow network connection. Anyway you are awesome.
