  How do I add a banner with code in the sidebar via widget?

  I ‘m trying to add a banner of a site that I like in the sidebar via text widegt , but gives error when I add the code.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What code are you trying to add?

  These are the only allowed code in WordPress.com. You can’t use Javascript, iframes, embeds and other similar codes for security reasons.

  If you just want to display a simple banner (with an image and a link), you can use the image widget:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/
