How do I add a blog post to a child page?

I am trying to add blog posts to a child page but every time I add a post, they automatically go to my home page rather than the page I want them to go on. The only way that I have found around this issue is by constantly editing previous posts on my child page. I am trying to move a recent post from home page to child page under a subtopic
I hope this makes sense because I have not had my coffee yet. :)

Posts and pages are two different content types, and you can’t really put one in the other:
