How do I add a blog to a wordpress website?
-
I have a WordPress website and want to add a WordPress blog – how do I do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
All WordPress.com blogs are hosted here on this multiuser blogging platform. They are not intended for embedding into any website at all.
This is the RSS feed URL for your posts http://tips4mathproblemsolvers.wordpress.com/feed/
Provided your website can draw from a feed then that’s all you need.
If it is not so equipped we do not provide support for any sites except WordPress.COM hosted blogs. In that case if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I have two blogs on wordpress, one I was just playing around with a while ago, and one that I’m working with now. They are currently in two separate accounts, but I want them to be managed under the same account. How do I do this?
The problem is, I can only post to the one I am logged in to, and that makes it more cumbersome to manage, and more likely I’ll post on the wrong site by accident.
Any ideas?

@brettdavid61
Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. That blog’s owner can transfer the blog to another username account. You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.
To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.
Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

@tips4cathybrown – the site linked to your name is empty – what are all the real URL’s you need help with – that will help the people here give you accurate help

So that worked great, but I still have a problem. When I try to add my RSS feed to my website, I get the original blog link which links to nothing. I don’t do html, so I don’t have an easy fix in mind. If you have any ideas, that would be great.

The RSS Feed link for posts on every WordPress.COM blog is in this format:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/feed/ -
Do note that the RSS Feed will not have anything at all to display until you publish a post. For more read here http://en.support.wordpress.com/feeds/
-
I have the right feed link, but when I drop it on my web page, it turns into a picture and content previously deleted.
-
Hi @brettdavid61,
It looks like you have two blogs on your current account:
brettcarter.wordpress.com
twocupsoneheart.wordpress.com
Can you clarify which feed you’re trying to display and where you’re trying to display it? If you could paste a link directly to the page you’re having trouble with, I would appreciate it!
-
Eventually I want to link both of those feeds to my webpage http://www.bybrettcarter.com/ that I just published today.
-
http://brettcarter.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The RSS Feed URL for the second one is http://twocupsoneheart.wordpress.com/feed/
-
I know what the feeds are, but they don't work. The twocupsoneheart doesn't work at all, the bybrettcarter feed just shows old content

It looks like it is suggesting a change. How do I do that?

<img class=”size-medium wp-image-28 aligncenter” src=”http://bybrettcarter.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/goose.jpg?w=121&h=300″ alt=”goose” />

Shhh. Don’t anyone, but I’ve started unfollowing people on Facebook. I’m feeling the desire to work on focus in terms of how I spend my time, and, in terms of social media, who I spend it with.

After just reading the latest from Dr. Kelly Flanagan’s Untangled blog, I feel renewed vigor to make sure I’m savoring every moment by using my time well with the people I enjoy. It seems important that I acknowledge that I only did this after thinking about it for a while. My concern isn’t that social media is bad, it’s that my use of social media can sometimes be all-consuming.

So, in the effort to cut down on this, I need to take some of the random-ness out of the experience. If I follow everything, inevitably I will discover interesting posts about people I don’t know doing things I really don’t need to know about immediately. I’m confident I’m not the only one who does a Google search on how to keep bats out of the garage and ends up reading about the latest trends in digestive health (bats, removal, protected species, wolves off the endangered species list, Canadian wolf, national health care, wait times for surgery, gastric bypass, stomach issues unique to, latest trends in digestive health) among young adults. The less I encounter random posts, the less likely I am to wander.

That means I’m unfollowing lots of people on Facebook. Not unfriending (a word I don’t like anyway), but unfollowing. If anyone wants to get ahold of me, they still can. I just don’t see the day-to-day posts from everyone. Most of those in the unfollowed list will never notice, I’m sure. We don’t interact. They might be unfollowing me already. Let’s face it, there’s a group of people on my Facebook friend list that have been there for a long time with absolutely no interaction. But, if I have news, or if they do, they can still contact me this way (especially since 411 is pretty much useless now).

I’m excited that this means I will spend more time in face-to-face interaction with family and friends that I actually can see on a regular basis. I’m eager to take more time to be outside and experience the world with all my senses. I’m enthusiastic about the possibility of eye contact without a screen in between. The focus of my eyes on people and the world around me guarantees engagement that recharges my soul.

If you would like to create a banner that links to this page (i.e. this validation result), do the following:
Download the “valid RSS” banner.
Upload the image to your own server. (This step is important. Please do not link directly to the image on this server.)
Add this HTML to your page (change the image src attribute if necessary):If you would like to create a text link instead, here is the URL you can use:

Hey Brett,
Sorry for the typo originally. I meant to type bybrettcarter.wordpress.com. Both of your feeds are working on my side:
http://bybrettcarter.wordpress.com/feed/
http://twocupsoneheart.wordpress.com/feed/Can you explain more of what you mean when you say the following?
The twocupsoneheart doesn’t work at all, the bybrettcarter feed just shows old content
I’m seeing all of your content including your 7/23/14 post on bybrettcarter.wordpress.com/feed. The twocupsoneheart.wordpress.com/feed is working for me as well.
Perhaps if I understand more where you’re trying to use these feeds, I’ll be able to help more!

They work as a link, but when I try to drop the feeds in my web page using the RSS tool, they don’t. What I should see is the first part of the my most recent posts that I can click on for more. The setup allows me to choose how many posts to show, but when I put in the RSS for bybrettcarter, I see content that I previously deleted, including a picture that is no longer part of my wordpress blog. Sorry it’s confusing, but what I have on my web page now is the best workaround I could think of. I would really like my posts to be there, but this can work.
