How do I add a comments field to the post on my first page?

I I would like to add a comments form field bellow my existing post however when I tick the “allow comments” box under the discussion module and update the post it still does not function?
How do I manage to add a comments field to the post on my first page?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, your comment area and comment field do show up here:

But it won’t show up on home page. Most (if not all) themes behave that way.
