How do I add a Google badge to my wordpress.com site

  I really want to add a Google+ badge to my sidebar on my Google+ blog. Ive tried through Google’s developer page with no luck. Every bit of code I try seems to not work. I use the Text/HTML widget to add the code. Is there a way to get the badge on to the sidebar using wordpress.com???

  Will WordPress eventually add Google+ to their social networks alongside Facebook and Twitter?

  I found using the about.me widget does a great job of showing all my social media links and badges, as well as a clear “about me” statement–look on the top sidebar of my main blog for an example.
