How do I add a link when replying to a thread
-
This is a real simply question that I feel real dumb asking but I’ve tried replying to threads and leaving a http link using the buttons right about that say strong, em, link, quote, ul, ol, li, code, close but I don’t know how to really use them. I looked for a tutorial but only found how to use links in your blogs…but this seems different to me. When I used the link button, my message appeared on the thread but the link (back to my blog) was not seen. I know I’m doing it wrong… Can someone help explain?
Thank you!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the guide for creating links in posts and pages: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
This is the general link model:
<a href="URL HERE">Highlighted anchor text here</a>
This is the visual result – it’s not actually linked here in the forum.
Highlighted anchor text here
Highlighted anchor text here</a.
1. Enter the anchor text you want to link to first.
2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)
3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link.More here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/05/20/creating-html-hyperlinks-links-in-wordpress/

To create links in forum threads use the same process but instead use the code icon above.

GROAN … I am using the keyboard from hell.
It interprets every single quote mark as a backtick and creates that mess you see above. -
I know about the keyboard malfunctions! My laptop touch pad get crazy sometimes and as I write, moves the cursor.
