How do I add a Linkedin widget button onto my free version WordPress site?

    How do I add a Linkedin button to my free WordPress site? I cannot add a Linkedin plugin unless I pay. I need to know the step by step instructions on how to add a Linkedin button that connects people from my free version WordPress site to my Linkedin profile. I’ve tried watching Youtube videos and have followed the instructions to add the script copied from Linkedin to Wordrpress. When I add it into the code text field after clicking code, it adds it as text on my live WordPress site instead of turning it into a widget/button icon. When I paste the script into the image field it brings up an error stating that I have entered text into the image section. I’ve spent 2 hours trying to work this out and cannot get it right!     How do I successfully add it to the free WordPress version so it shows up as the Linkedin button next to my other social media widgets rather than text? Currently Linkedin is not coming up as a selectable widget to add in my WordPress dashboard even though I have enabled Linkedin on WordPress. What am I doing wrong? Someone please help!

    Hi there,

    I can see you are already having Linked In icon in the list of Social icons on your blog karunahastiemarketing.wordpress.com . That is the correct way to point it to your Linked In profile.

    Users on the Premium Plan and below are also not allowed to post JavaScript.
    So the code from the script (https://platform.linkedin.com/badges/js/profile.js) which you are trying to paste will not work here.

    If you would like to add any code(JS) that you want, the WordPress.com Business Plan is the only option.

    I cannot find any other Linked In widget on WordPressdotcom.
