How do I add a new tab/menu next to Home and About?
-
Hi
I’m hoping someone can help me with my problem. I’ve just created a blog for the very first time yesterday but I’m struggling to find a way to create a new tab/menu. Sorry I don’t know what it’s officially called. At the moment I have a “Home” tab, an “About” tab and I’d like to add some new tab such as “Contact”.
I’ve tried to find an answer via google but all that I get are some articles which involves lots of code or suggesting that I download some type of plugin.
Is there any easy way of adding a tab without going through the above palava?
Many thanks
Carol

Do not ever rely on information that stats “plugins”. They are only for self hosted WordPress.org installs and we can’t use them on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
There are two answers I can provide. If you want to simply add another Page and you only want tabs to Pages displayed in your horizontal menu then here is the link to instructions > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page
also note > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/However, creating a custom menu allows you to display Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages and custom links in your custom menu as well.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/As your are using Twenty Eleven I recommend reading this article I have linked to so you are clear on how the theme is coded to operate. There is no sidebar on single posts.
