How do I add a new template and/or change an existing one using classic editor

  I am using the classic editor and I am trying to figure out how to put a background image on a single webpage, not on every webpage. I am assuming that making a new template would be the best way? But I can’t figure out how to make a new template using classic editor?

  I believe that the ability to have background images is controlled by the theme itself, if I’m not mistaken.

  Does your theme support background images?

  I’m not sure what you mean by “making a new template” ; do you mean the Customize or Appearance functions available on your Admin page?

  I can only add a background image for the main template. I want to be able to add a background image to one singular page, which I don’t see any option to do. So my thought was to make a new custom template to accomplish this, but I am unable to find anywhere that I can go to create a new template.

  Hm, have you had that theme for a long time? Because I just searched for it among the currently available themes and it’s not there. Perhaps it has been retired.

  Are you sure that your site is on WordPress.com and is not self-hosted? Because doing a search for “jessica theme 9seeds” brings up a theme by that name but it doesn’t exist as a theme option on WordPress.com which is what this is.

  Thanks for letting us know. So here’s the thing, the only plans here on WordPress.com that allow uploading of 3rd party themes are the Business and Commerce plans. Those plans have access to direct support
