How do I add a pattern to my background

I’ve seen very cool background patterns on the internet, and would love to apply one to my blog, how do I go about doing so. Any step by step tutorials out there. Thanks in advance.

In the background, on the sides where the black is now.

inside the body {} in your css try this:
background-image:url(path and name of your background here);

Question here, but how can you get the upgrade? because when i click ‘upgrade’, it just showed me that i have ‘0’ credits. how can i get credits? sorry but i don’t understand the paypal thing in here can someone please clarify it to me? thnx
