How do I add a picture to my blogs main page

  When I am sharing my wordpress blog with people on facebook, it appears fine, but there is no media pic in the link. It is just a blank white box. How do I insert a permanent image so that it appears every time I share my blog?

  The picture typically displayed when you share your site homepage on social media is your blavatar. You can modify that following the steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/#upload-a-blavatar
