How do I add a PR friendly button to my side bar?
-
I want to show that I am PR friendly and have found a site that helps to find opportunities to review products. It asks me to add a PR friendly badge to my sidebar to let PRs find me more easily. It says
“Here is your embed code, please place it in a prominent area within your blogs sidebar” along with the code but I can’t figure out how to do it.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

PS: it’s probably just junk code they want you to put in your sidebar with a link to their site so they gain pagerank.

PrintFriendly cleans and formats web pages, removes Ads, images, text and prints only what’s wanted. It’s free and easy to use. Your readers can select either Print Now or Get PDF. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/05/15/wordpress-com-bloggers-print-it/

It’s <div style=”width:150px; height:250px;”><span style=”color:#ffffff;position:absolute;top:162px;left:15px;width:120px;height:75px;overflow:hidden;”>Blogging about anything that interests me. Fashion/accessories, nail polish, movies, anime/manga. Its all here</span></div>
to show the badge on the blog. I’m guessing it’s like the bloglovin badge that you can get? What should I do?

Please post code using the Code tags, so it shows up.
I am not staff, but it seems likely to me that participation in “blogger assignment” reviews etc from http://bloggersrequired.com/ is likely to be against the Terms of Service here. I will flag this for a staff ruling on the issue.

@kardotim– I think rain was also asking for a ruling whether using this type of button on one’s WordPress.com site is legit with the ToS here.

Adding this badge is fine and not against our Terms of Service. Put it in a Text Widget and it should appear on your site.
Just let me know if you need further help.

@kathrynwp – Maybe I mis-worded my post above. It’s not just posting the badge, but as the OP said:
…have found a site that helps to find opportunities to review products.
The site in question is http://bloggersrequired.com/
So, less about posting the badge and more about participating in this type of activity vis-a-vis the ToS … sorry for being unclear.

As long as this blogger’s content doesn’t violate our Terms of Service or other policies, putting up the badge is fine.

Thanks for all your help. I don’t plan on doing anything that would pay me. I don’t like that kind of thing and I don’t want to violate any terms of service.

Great! I’m going to close this thread now, but if you have any other questions in the future, feel free to start a new thread and add the tag modlook in the Tags area and a Staff member will be glad to have a look. Thanks.
Happy blogging!
